Just inherited a 2004 S60R 130k miles. Love it, reminds me of my old BMWs.

On my 2018 V60 XC, I added: an IPD skidplate, the IPD rear anti-sway bar, and an IPD upper engine torque mount. Tyger roof rack on Thule crossbars, with a lockable Pelican case. Hood-mounted 20" TigerLights LED lightbar (safe location to avoid flying rocks).

hi when the engine is on - and you remove the hose from oil trap - what hapends - my oil trap is still sucking from the hose connector, not blowing...

Really hoping you can shed light on a recent (possibly related?) issue of mine. I had ‘12 XC60 T6 with around 180k and experienced a shutter which I believe was like what you described here. It felt like trans shift issue and engine light flashed so I pulled over and shutdown. Then I restarted and it felt like a misfire but I was able to drive on 5 cylinders, so I tried driving a few miles to home. After a mile or so smoke was coming out of the hood so I pulled over and opened hood to find sizable fire near oil cap. I backed away , called authorities, and watched the fire get bigger until they extinguished 20 mins later. Plugs were changed around 130k but not coils to my knowledge (purchased at 110k w/o record). Any input is much appreciated and thanks a ton for the video, I will certainly be more prepared with my current xc70 3.2.

Not so easy on a 2006 c70, plastic become brittle and when you try to pop off the cover the plastic housing is gonna Crack. Just replace the whole unit, you'll be glad you did. Any you do not need to remove motor mount, yeah the air box is tight but totally doable to remove

The black 98 S70 T5M was probably my favorite car this year. Super clean! Garage sale was a good time as always!

If you are looking at this video please pay attention to the fact that they are setting the crank position at the wrong place. They set it at 15 degrees btdc rather than 0.

To take entire knuckle and control arm out? I though volvo makes special tool to disconnect ball joint and it is only $75 for both sides. Also a big control arm depressor tool(look up Astro pneumatic )is like $60 and will make this job way easier. Plus maybe a tool to spread the knuckle spreader tool if you live in rust belt and/or don't want to hammer entire day($20).

You should open up the side for transmission service, and the pan would never have to come off. Just a thought.

I don’t get any noise but I’m having alignment issues. Should I change that bushing at 220k miles?

I just picked up a Yamaha 4.4 out of a wrecked XC90, I so badly want to put it in my 1996 Volvo 960, which is Volvos last rear wheel drive car, I want to have a V8 in my 960 and keep it all Volvo minus the transmission. I’d love to run that V8 in my 960 paired to a manual transmission but in terms of programming or getting the ecu to run the motor without issue I don’t know what I’m doing

Be careful removing the fuel pressure sensor if the fuel rail pressure has not been relieved first. I got sprayed in the face with gasoline. Smother it with a rag, and expect it to pop off like a champaign cork.

I have bilstine gas shocks but would like stiffer oil shock over standard so not quite as harsh for day to day. Do they make them?

The Lancia Stratos would also be amazing. Ford bought Volvo in the period Yamaha was tasked to build 60deg V8 for Volvo and I think 2 Ford engines. Curious the XC90 software is for torque and S80 is quite revvy. Which is being used in this car?

What makes this kit not compatible with the T5 2.0? I see it shows 2016 V/S60's but only T6 versions. I've installed gauges in all sorts of cars, is there something specific to your kit baring the T5 2.0 and 2.5?
